Anglo-German spy, Howard Wesley is woken from his dormant status in London by his Abwehr masters in Hamburg. His brief – to find and repatriate Deputy Führer, Rudolf Hess, who has parachuted into Scotland on a peace-keeping mission. Hitler sees him as a traitor and is seeking retribution.

What Wesley does not anticipate is his enforced collaboration in the task with another German spy of English heritage – former London criminal, Eric Vaughan. He’s new to the espionage game and a man of many talents but it soon becomes obvious that each has his own agenda. The relationship is hesitant and fraught with danger for both of them.

MI5 agent, Albert Stokes, soon discovers their plot to kidnap Hess and plans a subterfuge of his own. Matters become even more complicated when he also identifies a Fifth Columnist cell of serving RAF airmen with the same aim - to seize Hess. As another German agent, Kurt Hasler, suddenly enters the fray, the die is cast for a tense climax on a sunny Sunday afternoon - somewhere in Surrey.

All of their lives will be changed forever.

"I bought this book to take on holiday to basically last me the week but sadly it only lasted three days. I was quite literally hooked, a great story with great characters not to mention some of the rarely discussed details of WW2. A must read for anyone seeking a real page turner and/or the murky dealings of the spy game. The author tells us a follow up book is en route. Can’t wait."

ANDY McGAFFIN

"The hype around this book has been unquestionable and, admittedly, that made me eager to get my hands on it.

An excellent Debut for Terry as an author."

DAVID CHARLTON

"As someone whose family was tragically affected by the wartime disaster that forms the centre piece of this story, I approached the book with caution. As it turns out I could not have been more impressed. It is a wonderful mix of fact and fiction that kept me transfixed. The construction of every character is outstanding and I felt their fears and pain. The factual content is well researched and the whole tale really absorbing. I hope that the continuation is not too long in coming. I so need to know what happens next!"
